The new EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) directive will soon be in effect. The aim of GDPR is to protect all EU citizens from privacy and data breaches in an increasingly data-driven world. We would like to inform on how we store and use client data, and the rights that you as client and user has. If we do not hear back from you, we will maintain your contact data in our distribution list and database.
We (Itasca Consultants AB) use a client database for clients that purchase software from us. Our office in France, Itasca Consultants S.A.S (software@itasca.fr), are responsible for this database. The database contain contact data to each client (contact address and delivery address) as well as data on what software each client has acquired. We do this to fulfill our contracts with clients, as well as to inform about news, updates, and upgrades. We save the data as long as you (the client) have the software purchased from us. The client has the right to ask for an excerpt of the database to verify what information is stored with us. At the time of software purchase, the client is also sent such an excerpt. We keep all client data protected and we do not sell, or forward, any data to any other company or organization. We are also using a database for delivery of newsletters, information, and Christmas greetings. Itasca Consultants AB (jonny@itasca.se) is responsible for this database, which contain name, company and contact data (e-mail address). We do this to maintain contact with, and inform, clients and others interested about our company and what we do. We store these data until the client asks to unsubscribe from these lists. The client also has the right to ask for an excerpt of the database to verify what information is stored with us. We keep all client data protected and we do not sell, or forward, any data to any other company or organization.
