  • Simulate large displacements, including separation of blocks and collapse
  • Generate models automatically from CAD geometry files (DXF, STL, and GEOM)
  • Bonded block modeling (BBM) to simulate intact material damage
  • Twelve built-in material behaviors and eight creep constitutive models
  • Six built-in joint constitutive models
  • Built-in Voronoi block generator
  • Model ground water flow, including along joints
  • New hybrid bolts and all FLAC3D structural elements

EFFICIENT

  • Multi-core processing with optimized solutions
  • Multi-threaded FISH and Python scripting
  • Customize material behaviors using optional C++ User-Defined Models (UDM)

RELIABLE

  • Realistic physical solutions
  • Natural evolution of failure
  • Transparent methodology that’s fully documented
  • Built-in constitutive models are open source

PROVEN

  • Tested against analytical solutions
  • Used daily by Itasca’s consulting engineers and scientists
