El Teniente Fragmentation Study

Project: El Teniente Fragmentation Study

Client: Codelco, Chile

Description: We are currently conducting a large project for Codelco’s El Teniente Division, involving evaluation of the primary fragmentation of rock subjected to various stress paths. The study also includes analysis of new fracturing (orientation, persistence and spacing) due to stress-related damage as the rock mass follows the prescribed stress path. Work is carried out both on and off site and also includes training courses on the use of PFC and SRM (Synthetic Rock Mass).
