Conferences and publications

Slope Stability 2013: We will participate in Slope Stability 2013, September 25-27 in Brisbane. Jonny Sjöberg will give a keynote address on the topic of "Numerical analysis, slope design and in situ stress". More information can be found at Slope Stability 2013.

3rd FLAC-DEM Symposium: Itasca will hold the third FLAC-DEM Symposium in Hangzhou, China, in Oct 23-26. 2013. For more information, check out symposium web site.

Ground Support 2013: We will participate in Ground Support 2013, May 13-15 maj in Perth. Jonny Sjöberg is a member of the "Scentific Committe" and will act as chair person for one of the sessions. More information can be found at Ground Support 2013.

Eurock 2012: Itasca Consultants AB was represented with two papers and one presentation at Eurock 2012: (1) Simulation of blasting (paper | presentation) and (2) Ground deformations from sublevel caving (paper). We also had a booth at the symposium.

Deep Mining 2012: Itasca was represented with a paper and presentation, as well as chair person for one of the sessions at this Symposium. The program is available at Deep Mining 2012. The Symposium was held in Perth, March 28-30, 2012. Itasca Consultants also gave an invited presentation at the Stress Measurement Workshop March 31, 2012.

2nd FLAC/DEM Symposium: Itasca Australia arranged the second FLAC-DEM symposium in Melbourne, February 14-16, 2011. Itasca Consulants presented two papers: (1) 3D analys of the LKAB Malmberget mine (paper | presentation) and (2) Forensic analysis of a fault slip rockburst event in Kiirunavaara (paper | presentation).
